Nutrient Film Technique circulates a thin film of nutrient solution through food-grade channels, feeding bare roots continuously. It is the fastest, cleanest way to grow lettuce, spinach, rocket, kale, basil and other herbs at commercial volume.

Why NFT works so well here
NFT recirculates, so water use is a fraction of soil growing — a serious advantage in South Africa. Crops come out clean and consistent, harvest cycles are short, and because the channels stack on stands you get far more plants per square metre of tunnel than in-ground beds.
We run NFT in our own indoor R&D facilities in Ndabeni and Germiston, where we test grow cycles and LED lighting before recommending a configuration to a client.
